Welcome to the Department of Chemistry at Michigan Tech!

Our undergraduate offerings now include degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Cheminformatics, in addition to the basic Chemistry degree. We have a dynamic group of students in our department, many of whom participate in undergraduate research in biochemistry, organic chemistry, computational chemistry, among other topics. We're always looking for future chemists, could you be one? Drop us a line, schedule a visit, or apply to MTU.

The department faculty lead externally funded research groups with about 30 PhD students actively engaged in these projects. There are always several research groups with openings for new graduate students. Apply directly to the MTU Graduate School.

Our new Peace Corps Masters International program offers a degree in Applied Science Education in conjunction with Peace Corps service.

We want to hear from our alumni! Let us know what you're up to, send us a note, come for a visit, or catch up with us at a conference. Link to your colleagues through Alumni Relations.

I invite you to contact me with any questions or feedback.
